How WestDebt Is Different from Debt Settlement Companies
WestDebt is a guided DIY platform — not a debt settlement company. Here is exactly what we do, what we do not do, and why that matters for you.

What WestDebt does not do
We do not hold your money
There is no escrow or trust account. Your funds stay in your own bank account until you choose to pay a creditor directly. You never send settlement money to WestDebt.
We do not negotiate on your behalf
WestDebt never contacts your creditors. You make the calls and send the letters — we prepare you with strategy, scripts, and documents so you can negotiate confidently yourself.
No upfront fees
Traditional firms often charge 20–30% of enrolled debt and collect their fee before settlements happen. WestDebt charges a flat 5% service fee spread across up to 24 months, designed never to block an early settlement.
Not a state-licensed debt settlement company
Because we do not perform debt settlement for others, WestDebt is not structured or registered as a debt settlement provider. We are an education and self-advocacy platform.
What WestDebt does
Creditor-specific strategy
